I'm the son of immigrant parents who escaped pogroms in 1920s Russia to find their "Land of Dreams." I fulfilled my dual dreams of becoming a psychologist and writer of short stories and novels. I'm committed to helping people overcome their personal obstacles (whether patients or characters in my writing) and to fulfill their ambitions. I believe that all of us should share in America's wealth and no one should suffer from want regardless of national background, ethnicity, or gender. I am also dedicated to doing whatever is possible to achieve understanding between all peoples and international peace among all nations.

I'm a licensed psychologist who received my doctorate from Columbia University, where I later taught. I also taught at the City University.
I was a finalist in a small press novel competition and was in third place in an international short story competition.

My novel, "Land of Dreams," is a tribute to the struggles of immigrants to fulfill themselves. The novel was based on my family. My most recent novel, "Hobgoblins," is about a plot by financiers to secretly support a third party presidential candidate who, unknown to his supporters, plans to double-cross them by becoming an American Hitler. Only three people can thwart these plots: a psychologist who once treated the presidential candidate, a muckraking journalist and a person who is the source of the hobgoblin nightmares that pursue both the presidential candidate and the psychologist.

I'm currently writing a sequel to "Land of Dreams," which follows the family through the second World War. I'm revising another novel based on my older brother's childhood and military service. He was a World War II fighter pilot who was lost in combat overseas while still nineteen. It is entitled, "Duty Status: Whereabouts Unknown."
