Living isn't easy, but it is filled with sweet and bitter, sour and salty experiences.

Born at the end of the Great Depression, Jansen Estrup remembers much of WWII as a personal matter. The confused, sometimes horrific excitement gave him a lifelong interest in conflicts of all kinds and prompted him to choose a military career. He has lived in a remote star powered home amidst the wildness of the Sierra Nevada for the past 3 decades with his wife of 49 years, Carole, an artist and writer.
Birth Place: Sarasota, FL USA
Accomplishments: Sanity (somewhere between Tao and Confucius) and happiness rank high as my greatest achievements. I'm not talking about that 'positive, positive, positive' delusion that has wrecked the USA, but rather a well grounded, critical analysis of the life and people I have gathered around me. Is there an award for that? Probably not, yet there is surely a prize, here and now.
