I've always been interested in the process of how each person comes to find their own power, to recognize their own abilities to change their world. When I began the Ponticar trilogy, my intention was to write a story that combines the magical world of fantasy with spiritual truths that are part of every person's journey through life. The Scent Of Magic reads on two levels; one is an entertaining adventure story about a young man finding how to control his own magical powers. On another level, the characters in the story not only play a part in the plot, but also each represent a part of each of us. Masculine and feminine energies combine in the divine dance that is Life, and those same concepts permeate every part of the story. I have tried to bring my own experiences to the book in the hope that it may act as a guideline for others as they embark on their own journey. Rolf, Elena, and Dark are more than just the main characters in the trilogy; they are symbolic of the hidden energies that drive us and the world around us every moment.
