I have my mother to thank for my wondering what is beyond the confines of earth's gravity.  She always encouraged us to read and put very few limitations on my books and over the years we had many discussions of what lay beyond our known universe along with whether we are the only ones out there or not.  While in high school, I read a great deal of Asimov and other science fiction writers and they stuck with me over the years; some because they dealt with my questions and left me wanting more and others because they never came close to doing it, just leaving me with more questions.  Mum and my only sister encouraged me to write and it went from something to pass the time with to an obsession.  Now, creating other worlds and beings is a compulsion with me and I even have a dear friend speaking the same phrasology as in "Grorth's Acceptance".  He tells me the speech pattern is quite catchy and we have a lot of fun with it.
