My email address is joelthewriter. Enough said. I also have a new novel called "Hot Air" about the trials and tribulations of being a writer. Enough said.

Background
Information
Ever since I was five or six years old, nearly everything I saw, overheard, learned in school or simply wondered about I turned--in my head--into movies and plays and novels and articles. When I grew up, I started taking them out of my head and putting them on paper. As most of you know, that's often an uphill battle. Though I've had some success along the way, it's still an uphill climb, but because of what and who I am, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Accomplishments
I have the distinction of writing for more New Jersey-based magazines than perhaps any other journalist--including New Jersey Monthly, New Jersey Savvy Living, Suburban Essex Magazine, NJ Tables, New Jersey & Company, Jersey City Magazine, Princeton Magazine and others. Did I say distinction? Well, maybe that's a stretch. I also had a series of short plays performed off-off-Broadway in February 2008, collectively called "Six Tens from a Fifty."

Additional Information

Though I have two nonfiction books to my credit, my goal has been to be a published fiction author--and that is happening with "Hot Air," a comic odyssey from PublishAmerica that will be out in March 2008. Anyone who has ever worked for a trade magazine publisher, or who ever wanted to be a writer (or whoever dealt with a real estate agent of cheap landlord) simply must read this book.
