I began reading and writing poetry in earnest in my senior year in high school. Since then poetry has been my passion, and my poison. It has been my way of recording, and reflecting on the changes and chances of this weary life.
Poetry, for me, involves seeing the Thing within the thing: The reality within the reality. It
involves holding a mirror to society so that society can see itself and either laugh at its
foolishness, or gasp in horror. Poetry is not always so serious, sometime it laughs at itself,
sometimes it just tells a joke, sometimes a story. No matter whatever else a piece of poetry is doing
it seeks always that elusive reality within the reality.
My major influences are the people and places around me. From the tourist glitz/industrial
grit of Niagara Falls, to the urbane and esoteric precincts of UofT (toronto, eh?), from the
“Big Sky” of rural Saskatchewan, to the wilderness of northern Ontario, and points between,
I have found subjects for my poetry.
Birth Place: Niagara Falls, NY USA
Accomplishments: b.a. m.div. certificate in teaching and training adults

| To those who I review.
The highest accolade that I bestow is a simple "good write". It sounds tepid, but it is meant with conviction.
I do not give negative reviews. |
