The Author

The author is a computer scientist, software professional and also an artificial life researcher, based in Silicon Valley, California.

An ardent explorer of both scientific and spiritual truth, and also well exposed to certain mystery schools, the author had always felt a hidden unity behind natural and spiritual realms - realms which are often considered non-overlapping magisteria at best. While there does exist some prior work that explores these connections, they tend to resort to fundamental physics and leading edge theories of science, attempting to connect them with certain types of spiritual thought.

However the author felt that the link had to exist at a much more mundane level, spanning all manifestations of Nature. In fact, if natural and spiritual realms were indeed connected, even ONE, then every phenomenon in Nature must reveal this connection!

Then in early 2004, certain totally surprising patterns and resonances between these two realms started to emerge during moments of silence, almost as if a curtain had suddenly lifted. Strands of learning, experience and contemplation, which were earlier disconnected or messily entangled, seemed to weave themselves into a rich and intricate - and unexpected - tapestry; it was like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle automatically falling into a perfect fit. The author experienced an avalanche of connecting concepts that was unprecedented in quality as well as scale. The intense efforts of many years spent probing and analyzing the mysteries of Being and Becoming seemed to have been mere preparation for this wonderful and overwhelming Vision. This book is an attempt to capture as accurately as possible, Life, as it revealed itself to the author in those moments.
