My purpose in writing this book was to allow the children of this generation to understand about the POW/MIA issue so that these men and women heroes can be brought home to their waiting families.

09/24/08: My book "Mommy, What Is A POW/MIA?" has just won the Gold Medal for Children's Military Books from the Military Writers Society of America.

July 2008: I was installed as the COMMANDER of the New Bern Chapter 40 Disabled American Veterans.

09/15/08: The Local VFW Chapter bought 13 books from me to pass them out this Friday to local schools for POW/MIA Remembrance Day. I am so happy that this book will be placed where this generation can read it and start learning about the sacrifices that were/are made to keep this country free Thank You VFW!

Mommy, What Is A POW/MIA?
This is a story about a little girl named Savannah that overhears her Mom and Dad talking about the Mom's lost Brother "Uncle Bobby" in Vietnam.
