Happily living and writing alternately ashore on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, and afloat, aboard our boat on the BC coast, from April through September.

Background Information

I've been a writer and a reader all my life, growing up on Heinlein, Bradbury, McCaffrey and all the old romance authors from the UK before Harlequin bought them out, I even wrote three humor books for Harlequin's Love & Laughter series.

However, with 44 published novels behind me, I've seen the writing on the wall! (Probably scribbled there when I was a kid writing bad poetry that grew even worse during my teenage-angst years.) As I see it, in this nutty, sometimes frustrating industry, times they are a changin' and the future is here. Hence, I've begun putting most of my older books, and a few new ones into electronic format with Belgrave House and other e-publishers. Those clever people encrypt them and make them available for download in several different formats. They're great for reading on anything from your PDA to you computer screen. I prefer to read on my HP iPaq. As we baby boomers add up the years, sometimes our sight develops a few minor flaws. Being able to enlarge the font and brighten the backlight is a real boon. I also have a number of large print books available now. Ask at your library if you know anyone who needs them. My latest electronic reprint is NO STRINGS ATTACHED, a fun & zany story about a herbalist who, while beachcombing for nutritional seaweed, finds a genie! That's where the trouble starts. She's an identical triplet, so her sisters' will be getting their own stories, too. I'll let you know when.

BAD BILLY CULVER, previously published by Bantam Fanfare, a more serious book with deeper issues, has also been made available by Belgrave House.  Since I also love futuristic romance, that's what I'm focusing on now, and boy! is it a kick! I can really let my imagination run free. I had a wonderful time (and great sales) with WHISPERS ON THE WIND, my first futuristic. Published by Leisure Love Spell it is now out of print, but is my next project for Belgrave House. Another futuristic THE DAWNING, is an e-pubbed-only book, up now at Belgrave House.

I'm a long-time member of Novelists, Inc., an organization of published authors only. It has the best newsletter in the business, a great email loop, and keeps on top of the industry with hard-hitting articles and business advice. Interested in joining? visit and check out the visitors' pages.

Many of my books have appeared on top-ten best-seller lists. Some of my titles have been nominated variously as "Funniest" and as "Best in the series". I've received a Certificate of Excellence from Heart of Romance Readers' Choice Awards. Most of my books have been translated into as many as 14 languages. I've written for 3 different British publishers (my first ever manuscript sold to one of them!) and 4 North American houses. 5 of my books were first printed as hardcovers before going into paperback. Several have been reprinted.

Additional Information

I've just begun to blog and am having a great time with it, telling friends, family, and even strangers about living and writing on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. My blog's title is Little House in the Jungle. The address is My writing blog is and I'd love to have you visit. Another place I frequently blog, about once a month, is at There's a new blog up from a multipublished Novelists Inc. member every weekday except Wednesday, which is reserved for industry professionals, such as editors, agents, and publishers. Log on and get the word before it grows old. I love to hear from readers, love them to post comments to my main blog and to my message section on Authors Den, so come on down and visit and let me know what you think.
