Helen Keller wrote: Character can not be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trail and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired and success achieved.

ENJOY MY NEW NOVEL!  (THE COLOR OF LOVE)

My approach to life is sometimes serious and intensed, but only because I have been through so much.   I can be direct and to the point,  I am drawn to down to earth  people who are not afraid to be who they are and are comfortable in their skin.. This is a  materialistically based society and although I too like material things, they are not what drives me..  I'd like to think I am honest, decent, and a person who holds an unconditional love for man kind.  I believe that life is full of lessons for the soul and that soul serves as a mediator between the spirit and the flesh. Seeking and knowing the will of God should be above and beyond any facet of material possession or monetary gain - and  one should appreciate the small, intimate things in life as these are the things that establish delightful engagements.  We need only to get out of our own way. (i.e ego).  Believe it or not, my  friends come from all walks of life, the very wealthy and the very poor.  I see only the soul, the spirit and the heart of an individual and choose to only allow those who possess empathy, patience, understanding, forgiveness and most of all positivity to enter my space.

When I was a little girl I was very sad, lonely and unloved. I was raised by an abusive mother and step-father (read my book entitled "Mama and Us") and found peace in kind thoughts of other things, people and places. I wrote love letters to myself. I thought of  words and brought them to life and thus, a writer was born.

I continued through life wondering why my life was the way it was, especially finding myself having to raise two children alone, when my then, husband decided to walk out on me at the age of twenty five. Thanks to my Higher Power, my children are very grown and successful, today.

Later I would fall in love with a man that ended his life in a suicide, (read my book entitled, "Sucide-The Explosion Within")

I am CEO/ President of tktsystems which is a small business that engages in fullfilling  small work orders and contractual agreements, in a technical, engineering and scientific capacity, and also CEO/President of Starrtouch Enterprises, (STEI) a construction company, that sub-contracts out work to highly skilled contractors dedicated to providing environmental services through out the community. The two companies management approach facilitates clear channels of communication, authority and accountabiltiy-with defined roles and responsibilities.  The companies organizational structures is a matrix model that allows for divisional affiliates and subcontractiing while offering the advantages and efficiencies characteristically seen in larger companies. Visit our website @ tktsystems.com and starrtouch.biz

I also have a non-profit called StarrYouth that will be up and running as soon as we can find  the appropriate funding.  It is through collboration efforts with other non-profits, that we hope to provide life skill training - through the use of basic education and work skills for those at-risk youth- ranging from ages 14 -21   Our goal is to assist those youth so that they may be able to function in a capacity where they can become an asset to themselves, their families and their communities.

Look for my  new novel coming soon called Empowering Relationships - a series of real interviews by couples from all walks of life. (2013)
