I have many influences in writing. We develop, as writers, from authors whose work we love. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and that is never more true than a new writer who admires whom they consider to be a literary great.

I started out adoring the works of King, Poe, and Koontz. As I've developed, my reading has covered more genres. I now include the works of such writers as Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell. I love reading which you can learn something from.

I started writing in 1988, and my journey has taken me through poetry, songwriting, short stories and novellas. Finally, in 1996, I began writing, almost exclusively, full-length novels and books.

I have been featured in the, "Better Than Reality," newsletter on a number of occasions. I have won the "Author of the Week," award at FictionAddiction.net. Also, I have been featured in the, "Free Fiction," newsletter, both for my book and for my article on advertising e-books.

I am a former staff writer for Tennessee Style Magazine. Currently, I am studying the editing process as much as the craft of writing.

I have two more books finished or nearing completion. The first is a Speculative Horror novel, and the second is an anthology to be published at Free Fiction. I am working on the first draft of several others.
