Laurie Lonsdale is a Toronto-based music journalist/author, who has written for such magazines as 'Moxie', 'Fazer', 'Toronto Exclusive', 'Scene and Heard', 'Divorce Mag', 'Bloom', and “Chicken Soup”. She is currently the editor of FAZER Music Magazine and provides concert and CD reviews, as well as band interviews. Recently Laurie expanded her music coverage to a weekly Friday evening segment on Indie Love Radio, with DJ Zeke the Freak.

Among her published credits she counts five women's fiction/thriller novels currently on the market, including 'Chasing Rainbows', 'Neon Nights', 'Hollywood Blues', 'Four of Hearts' (voted among the Top Ten novels of 2007 in the Preditors and Editors Readers' Poll), and the '08 release of 'Wild Side' - a rock 'n' roll romp that was loosely based on her experiences in concert promo in the late 80's/early 90's. The book was voted among the Top Ten fiction novels of 2008 in a readers and publishers poll. Laurie was voted #7 among the Top Ten authors of '08, and recently was included among Toronto's most artistic, creative and inspiring women, at the L'Oreal/Luminato Festival of the Arts.

As a side to her work in the music industry, Laurie has segued into PR for a few select Toronto bands via her company Poison Pen Productions, and provides press kits for bands in need. As a member of SOCAN and ASCAP, she enjoys participating in various music conferences in addition to promoting her written works at an assortment of book venues.

In Writer's Journal magazine in 1999, Laurie received mention as a promising new and upcoming writer.
Laurie's first novel, "Chasing Rainbows, Catching Dust", was voted "Book of the Month" by the United Author's Association in February 2002.
Her fourth novel, "Wild Side", was voted #5 among the Top Ten fiction novels of 2004, in the Preditors and Editors International Readers' Poll.
In the January 2008 Preditors and Editors International Readers' Poll, Laurie's fifth novel "Four of Hearts" placed 6th among the Top Ten Novels, and Laurie herself placed #4 among the Top Ten Authors.
In June 2008, Laurie was included among Toronto's most artistic, creative, and inspiring women, by L'Oreal in cooperation with the Luminato Festival of the Arts.
In the January 2009 Preditors and Editors International Readers' Poll, the re-release of Laurie's fourth novel, "Wild Side", placed #8 among the Top Ten mainstream novels of 2008, and Laurie was voted #7 among the Top Ten Authors.
