Having officially retired January 1, 2007, I began a Lifelong Dream to write and publish Serial Books using the same characters; hopefully in the mode of Erle Stanley Gardner and Agatha Christie!
As far as my personnel character goes, you might say that I'm a Bible thumper to some degree. I don't 'thump' so much on the salvation part of God's plan for us; I'll leave that to the Preachers, but more on what He expects out of us in this life; and what He will either do for us or against us, depending on our actions.
As far as the mundane, I am a US Navy Vet and graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Business Administration in 1973.
I've been married for 42 years and have three grown sons; all doing quite well, Thank the Lord!
I've written Four Books with plots as devious as ‘The da Vinci Code’! Nine hundred and fifty-four pages of conspiracy, assassination, murder, erotica, mayhem and rape - all set in a religious quest to save society from the wrath of God! A study of Heroic Christian’s who try to live the Godly life, but like many, fall far short! Plots include corrupt Senators, Representatives and Judges; scenario’s where one has a hard time telling who is the good guy or who is the bad guy; pages that are rift with schemes that include the devious plans of al Qaeda in the USA and abroad; love stories that embody immoral and sometimes deviant sexual misconduct which for some accumulate in Christian marriage; chapters that depict Cardinals, Priests and Nuns who go astray, but find their way back to serving the Lord in different ways; and finally, stories of true friendships that transcends the norm of society!
The first book; ‘The Epistle of Mary’, is a story about an attempt by a rouge Vatican Troubleshooter who takes it upon himself to assassinate anyone who has any knowledge about the contents of a three page parchment written by the very hand of Mary, the mother of Jesus! In his mind, should this document be authenticated and brought to public attention, the contents could very well ‘topple’ the Roman Catholic Church!
In the second book, ‘The Revelation to David’; David Bradley, who was the finder of the Epistle of Mary is approached by a messenger from Jesus Christ asking him to move from Israel to the United States to try to get the clergy there to get back to preaching and teaching the Bible; the whole Bible once again, to influence the American people to get back a sense of morality!
David is given ten years to accomplish this feat, or ‘The Father’ promised He would destroy the USA in the same way He did Sodom and Gomorrah!
Here is an excerpt: David says to Samuel. "Why would the Lord choose an ignoramus like me? I just verily graduated High School, and that was with a G.E.D.?
Samuel replied. Jesus didn't graduate High School either, and he seems to have done alright!
The third book, 'The Quest of the Utilitarian Christians' continues with the characters we learned to love from the first two books as they try to stem the 'Wrath of God' by creating a third political party based on God mandated morality! Here again, we find our characters enveloped in assassination attempts against their lives from Liberal organizations which abhor the idea of American going back to the principles of morality! Another story filled with 'love stories', murder, mayhem and sex, sex, sex!
The fourth book; 'The Vinnetti Exposure', finds several of our characters from the first three books in Jerusalem. We find the 'Bad Guys' trying to start World War III and the 'Good Guys' trying to stop them! Who will win? Well, you'll have to read the book to find out! Hint! Hint!
I first listed the books under the Genre of Action/Thriller because of the murder, assassination, general mayhem and light sexual content included in them, but they could just as well have gone under Mystery, Political Science, Inspirational, Spirituality, Metaphysical or Religion.
However, as of January 20, 2008, I re-listed them under 'Religion' with a cautionary warning as to their content! After-all, there is no such thing as a 'Perfect Christian', thus my characters fit well within that category! All four books have to do with how the main characters try to serve God, even though in a non-perfect way!
