I am a registered nurse who has always had the desire to write. Many years ago, I had started a book, but became discouraged, so I just shelved it. Now I have decided to try again. My grandchildren have been my inspiration in writing children’s books.
Some of my stories may be fictional and be imaginative, but most importantly they will demonstrate words of unconditional love, appropriate behavior and encouragement for the child through seeing success stories of different imaginative characters that encountered difficult situations.
Presently I have one book just about ready for the press.. My Web Page mentions other books that I am presently working on. I have not attempted to find homes for them yet but that is a project that I will be working on. I am learning through experience that publishing a book takes time and patience. Any comments, suggestions or just words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated whether they are stories of struggles or success stories. Thanks for stopping by.
Birth Place: Chattanooga, TN USA
Accomplishments: In my nursing career, I achieved many certifications such as CEN (Certified ER nurse)

In my college years, I was in the Who's Who which was quite a long time ago, but non the less, was an honor.
I have also achieved academic scholarships while attending school.

This tells a little about myself and the books that I have written. I have written other books, but have not sumitted them for publication.
I am very new to this world and have found that it takes time to get published . I have also heard that patience a virtue to acquire? Don't we all need to learn that? We live in a world that we want things done yesterday!!!

Additional information
|
| Right now, my focus has been twofold. I work as a nurse and write in my spare time. With my nursing job I work with caregivers of patients that are caring for a loved one that is going through the dying process. I have walked those shoes; therefore this has become a passion for me.
I can hardly wait until I start working on other books. I presently have one in the editing process, a chapter book. As soon as that is done, then I hope to have that book available at the beginning of 2009. In the meantime, I plan to continue to work on my other children's books and get them ready for publishing. |
