Linda, born in the southeastern region of South Dakota, spent her youth in travel as her father, an Army officer, was reassigned from one side of the world to the other (Japan and Germany) and within the boundaries of the United States of America (Washington, Missouri and Georgia). After several college quarters, Linda married and lived with her husband in North Carolina, Oklahoma, and California before returning to live in the coastal area of Georgia. Later, with a daughter in tow, she returned to the family "home" in the Chattahoochee Valley region.
Linda retired from the local state psychiatric hospital. During her tenure, she served as senior secretary, medical librarian, and operations analyst for nearly 25 years. During her last seven years, she also served as Editor of the monthly employee newsletter, Regional Reflections.
After retirment, Linda worked with NAMI Columbus, the Chattahoochee Valley Writers' Conference Steering Committee, and served as Editor of the Georgia Poetry Society newsletter. She is an avid amateur photographer, and occasionally writes poetry or attempts to write novels and short stories.
Meanwhile, genealogy research and photographing cemetery gravestones for Findagrave.com are her major focal point when she is not sipping coffee as she watches the birds at her six feeders and enjoys the flowers in her backyard garden. Sofie, her cat is not as enthusiastic about watching the birds; she would much prefer to chase them. Sofie is a fat, happy Russian Blue with a sweet nature when not in attack mode.
