The boyfriend told me about this site. I've been writing assorted nonsense for years, but my general strategy for dealing with said writings has been to stuff them into a journal and squirrel them away. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of others reading what I've written. It's not that I fear criticism, but more that writing has always been a very private outlet for me. Posting poems online feels like the equivalent of asking someone I've never met to peruse my underwear drawer. But I want to learn to be more open about (some) of the things I write, and I thought that AuthorsDen would be a good place to start. So please, peruse away! Just, um, ignore that ratty white bra in the back of the drawer. I don't even know how that got there.
