I would love to post something profound, but the best I can do is reiterate: life is profound enough in its depth, beauty and ugliness to give voice to all hopes, dreams, and realities.

I have been writing since I was 11 and love reading books. Sure, you can buy the video or go to the movie; and I am an avowed movie junkie; but words that take my breath away with the pictures painted by the writer are so wonderful I cannot speak highly enough of the art form. I love the haiku form of poetry and find it uniquely suited for prose as well. And I did have the good fortune of being published. Hopefully, I can find homes for the four novels I have completed thus far. Along the way, I attended university, architecture school, and, finally, law school; but academia can never prepare someone for the life well lived. That is learned through experience and not in the pages of a book. The book is merely the vehicle to inspire someone to, say, visit the Pampas or live the frightening comfort of standing, truly alone, under a blanket of stars in the middle of nowhere and listening to the noises of the night. As for major literary influences: F. Scott Fitzgerald; Arthur C. Clarke; Sir Thomas Malory; Charles Baudelaire; Henry David Thoreau; Dante Alighieri; J.R.R. Tolkien; James Herriot; Elsie Homelund Minark; T.H. White; e.e. cummings; Anne Rice; Ralph Waldo Emerson; Guillaume de Lorris; la poesie de Verlaine et les bon mots medieveaux et renaissance; la literattura italiano degli artisti come Gallileo ed anche Michelangelo; Arthur Miller; Barbara Tuchman; and many, many authors who combined tales of real life with the richness of pure sensuality in every sense of the word.

Accomplishments: Award for excellence in watercolor paintings and recognition in a Los Angeles index of up-and-coming artists to watch in 1984. Editor and journalist for various legal publications in Seattle. First place for being a smartass in general.
