Tired of 'doing' life, I went on a journey to 'live' life. I met many individuals that were engaged in risk-taking behaviors. After two years of listening to their stories, I was left pondering, 'what's enough in life?' Returning home, I wrote my first literary novel, ALWAYS ENOUGH.
I'm busy enjoying life and working on next novel: "THE SHATTER".

Before, I simply did life . . .
My career spans 27 years as a therapist, corporate management consultant, hospital administrator, national lecturer and writer. I received my graduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. I have worked in many employment settings, including my own corporation..
Then I search . . .
In 2000, I took 2 years off from my career to go on a personal journey to breathe in different aspects of life, including the diversity of people and places. I traveled much of the time without plans and lived in whatever the moment provided. It was a most profound experience, which filled the archives of my mind with endless thoughts to ponder. Upon completion of my travels, I returned home changed from my experiences. Inspired to finally step away from my career, I moved into my life long goal of writing, photography and painting. The next three years consisted of writing the novel ALWAYS ENOUGH, published in June 2006 books. As far as the painting and photography, I'm having fun. Some of my paintings and photography are on the pages of my writings.
I returned to my faith in a new way! The love of Jesus has forever changed me.
* * * * *
I now have the freedom to write, paint and enjoy photography. Certainly it's rewarding when my writing and painting have impact or some special significance for others. But if not, that too is ok. For only by being free to express and create, can I truly call myself an artist.
A little bit about my style of writing ...
ALWAYS ENOUGH, is a literary fiction novel released in June 2006. A shocking and unpredictable story of risk-taking behavior, sexual experimentation, and love. It was written with a creative emphasis on the 'character' development, that includes the philosophical, sexual, psychological, and spirituality of the characters. Such development was essential to the storyline. In the end, I hope the readers are left pondering the same life issues. I never tell people how to live, yet my writing style is to methodically run in front of the reader and throw open doors for which they can look inside. Each door, so to speak, offers deep contemplative issues about life.. I am excited when readers are left suspended in deep thought about themselves. To read more about the novel ALWAYS ENOUGH, here a link: books.
THE SHATTER (Working Manuscript): Father Timothy O’Brien’s daily routine is like a thief robbing him of life. Rituals so mechanical, lose meaning in their repetitive process. A once in a life time commitment made without ever considering a world beyond it, is now jeopardized by a moment he couldn’t have imagined. Drenched in an obsession and teetering on the edge. . . No longer is he the faithful servant of yesterday. Yet tormented and choking on conviction, he is not free. . . . THE SHATTER, a story of priest who weekly contrasts his life with the confessional sins of a young girl. His once fervent desire to serve God becomes weakened. Gripped by imagery and unwanted thoughts, everything sacred is shattered by an unforseen event. THE SHATTER: the splintering, fragmenting and annihilation of a life . . .
* * * * *
Three years after the release of her first literary novel ALWAYS ENOUGH, author L. K. Craft explains that THE SHATTER is very different. “Often we live two lives, one in action and outward presence and one of mental processing. Most of us are contained by our outward commitments and choices, yet our ultimate truths is hidden in the sacred recesses of our thoughts. THE SHATTER is about the process of trying to reconcile both. This is an eventful journey of trying to bridge a fragmented soul. Filled with the tormented truths about the nature of the human condition, the reader will be emotionally stretched.” says L. K. Craft. The raw manuscript is approximately two-thirds completed. Author L. K. Craft resides in Palm Spring, CA.
Presently, I am working on my novel. I reside in Southern California.
Press Release:
Released on June 20, 2006, novel ALWAYS ENOUGH by. L. K. Craft is making it's way to readers. On August 17, 2006, KIRKUS Reviews proclaims the book "an appealing story, engaging plot" and "a rewarding read". Author L. K. Craft responded, "I couldn't be more pleased. To me, a novel is rather limiting if it's only impact is entertaining. As a writer,I wouldn't desire to take time out of my life to write merely for the purpose of entertainment."
Such sentiment is understandable when you consider L. K Craft's professional career spans 27 years of providing therapy, consulting, and as a hospital administrator. "My entire career was focused on providing various levels of service to people who are dealing with issues. It's wonderful hearing from readers who say they got much from it. There is no greater compliment than having ALWAYS ENOUGH reviewed as "a rewarding read."
