"I believe I began writing almost as soon as I learned to read.  I completed my first short story when I was ten years old.  It was awful!  I've gotten a lot better since then.  Part of that is education.  By that, I mean specific writing classes.  Many, many of those.  And books on writing.  I have a library full.  Those wouldn't have helped a bit, though, if I hadn't kept writing, writing, writing.  Like most writers, I became discouraged from time to time, but never enough to give it up.  I don't think a true writer CAN give it up.  It's like the words build up inside me until they have to find an outlet.  Mine is fiction.

"Writing is creation.  It's intriguing to see how your characters develop as the story develops.  They're rarely predictable.  I don't try to control their actions.  I let them lead me through the story.   They know best where they're going."

Lynda resides in Snellville, GA a suburb of Atlanta, with her long-time friend and current crop of rescue dogs.  Though this native Floridian now lives miles from any ocean, her heart and soul remain firmly planted at the seashore.
