Born 1st July 1934 in one of Beatrix Potters Houses in the Lake District. North West England. Joined the Royal Air force at age 15 straight from school. Spent almost 40 years in the military (major influence!)At age 55 contract ended and I had my own business making and selling Sterling Silver models, mostly aircraft. During recession business went down the plug hole! Making executive toys is not good business in times like that. At age 59 was diagnosed "Gender Dysphoric" (Yes I had known for some time that all was not right within) If something is worth doing then one should do it right so I went for it. I am a post op Transfemale but am I happy? You can bet your last $/£ (or whatever other currency you have) I AM. I am currently involved with a group called "Press For Change" fighting for the rights of Transgender/transsexual people in the UK where we have very few rights! The UK has finally arrived in the real world with the Gender Recognition Act now in force. I never cease to be amazed when people/groups I talk to say they had no idea of the dicrimination that Trans people are subjected to. My books "Diaries of a Transfemale" Book 1 and Book 2 are in diary format and let the reader inside Lynne's life before, during and after transition. The really good thing about being in this situation is that one can talk sensibly with both genders. Also I can still fix my car, do the plumbing repairs and sort out household electrics. I am also a "Lay Advisor on Transgender issues" to the Lancashire Constabulary who, I am delighted to say have grasped the nettle with both hands and now recognise Transphobic crime as real. So welcome to my world fellow humans. The books are FREE! All you need to do is send me an e-mail and I will send a copy of the book as an attachment to my reply. You really need to be on broadband as they are quite large files.

Vulcan - restoration for flight
This is the project to return to flight a Vulcan Bomber of the "Cold War" era. She is some 40yrs old but in remarkably good condition.
Along side the rebuild for flight is an educational program to inform the children of today about the sacrifices made in the 3 decades of the cold war.
The Vulcan has flown! Just as graceful as ever.Look out UK airshows.
