I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and I have been writing for most of my life, everything from poetry to stories for children. In 2007, I published my first children's book MY RAINBOW FAMILY, under the pen name of K.R. Vance.
As a woman of mixed heritage which includes Haitian, Creole and Choctaw Native American, I blend multicultural characters into my stories. Whether it's the interracial, paranormal romance/erotica genre or my children's stories I write, I have something for everyone.
Why was I inspired to write interracial romance? I'm half of an interracial married couple. My husband is Pennsylvania Dutch and Italian. I began writing in the romance genre in 2008 and I seem to have found my niche and inspiration in my husband Brian. I'm an avid reader of Laurell K. Hamilton, Rae Lori, Shara Azod and Belinda McBride.
A solitary pracitioner of the magical arts, I walk an eclectic path and live with my husband and four of our six children, including the family's pets of one sassy gray cat and one silly, but lovable black lab in Warner Robins, GA.
