Marta Stephens is a native of Buenos Aires Argentina but a resident of the United States since the age of four. She began her career as a fiction writer in 2003. The desire to journal her thoughts evolved into a life-changing passion that has led to the birth of her Sam Harper Crime Mysteries and her debut novel, SILENCED CRY (2007) print: ISNB 978-1-905202-72-0, e-book: 1905202725.
Stephens lives in the Midwest with her husband, daughter, son, and their very spoiled Boston Bull Dogs. She has a degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Ball State University, is a member of Sisters in Crime International, Sisters in Crime Speed City Indiana Chapter, and the Midwest Writer's Workshop.
Stephens holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Ball State University (IN) where she is also employed.
Book two in the Harper series, THE DEVIL CAN WAIT, print: ISBN 978-1-905202-86-7, ebook: 978-1-905202-87-4) is due for a release in the fall 2008. She is working on the third Harper book and also administers the popular authors’ blog, MURDER BY 4.
