Marti Melville is the author of the Deja vu series. The prequel, Midnight Omen Deja vu, an exciting historical fiction - paranormal romance novella set in the 18th Century Caribbean (think PIRATES!)
Marti was born in Salt Lake City, Utah where she was raised on skis, by her former Olympian father and musically gifted mother, with her four younger sisters at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. She attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University and maintains her license as a Registered Nurse with her background primarily in Emergency/Trauma medicine. Currently, she works as a nurse for a large healthcare agency in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds many advanced degrees in her field of nursing and is presently obtaining another degree in Writing at Brigham Young University.
Marti is the mother of five children and grandmother of four. Her novels draw from her many experiences in the Emergency Department setting, blended with her love for the rich history of the Caribbean. Writing this series was a gift to her grandchildren, who she hopes will learn to love the exciting adventures found in a "true" story.
Marti is a member of the League of Utah Writers, Alliance for Women in Media of So. California. She is the exec-producer of the TV mini-series, Midnight Omen (ow in production) and serves as a film medical consultant on media projects. You can find Marti on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads and on her website (www.martimelville.com). She is available upon request for book reviews, as a public speaker and presenter.
Her optimism is reflected in her personal mantra - "Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance"
