I have finally gotten to the point in my life when the dream of becoming a world-class writer should manifest itself. (At least, that's what the fortune cookie I got last week said!)

Background

I have enjoyed a personally rewarding professional career. For 25 years, as a teacher and as an administrator of community-based service programs for persons with disabilities.
I like helping people. Providing written information that is useful and easy to understand has become my trademark. But I also want to share the fun of life and community. I want to convey hope and stimulate the imagination.
Over the past ten years I have begun seriously writing poems and songs, short stories and essays. Literature has always been an instrument of enlightenment to me. From Homer to Ray Bradbury, the writings of my grandparents, Victor and Mabel Green, and the texts of my education, all have been stirred to create the essence of who I am and what I create.

Doing research on programs, services, products, current reseach, etc. for persons with disabilities and senior citizens? Check my website, Independent Life Resources, (www.ilresources.com).
Many readers are apparently enjoying my children's story entitled "Prince Frederick and the Selfish Spell". This is a fairy tale that teaches the virtures of sharing and one boy's experience with trying to hide his possessions away.
Finally, if you happen to be in New Orleans, La., I often read poetry and/or perform original music at: Neutral Ground Coffee House, 5110 Daneell, Maple Leaf Bar, Oak St, The Gold Mine, Dauphene and St.Peter, and the Urban Cup, Magazine and Upperline.
