I am an internist specializing in pulmonary medicine. I have had several hundred poems published and 3 chapbooks. Currently I am the poetry editor of CHEST, the Journal of the American College of Chest Physicians with 55000 subscribers.

My work has received Honorable Mention in The Newburyport Art Association Poetry Contest 1996 and 1997, U. of Alaska Explorations '97
Poetry Competition and was a finalist in the William and Kingman Page Chapbook Competition, 1997. Morning Glory, my second book, was a winner of the Anamnesis Press Poetry Chapbook competition and was published by them. My third book of poetry, Mid Life, was published by Pudding House Publications.
2 of my poems were selected for inclusion in the “The Best of the Fairfield Review 1997-2002”, and one of them was the Editor’s Choice for the Best of the Best. I was a winner of the Firman Houghton award in poetry given by the New
England Poetry Society.
I am a practicing physician when not writing poetry.
