I first began writing when I was 15. I was inspired by my father's poetry and Emily Dickinson's. Dean Koontz book, "Dragon Tears," inspired me to want to write fiction. Traveling around, on a Sunday drive one day in 2002, I was inspired to write nonfiction history on my area. I took pictures of the remaining building and researched their history. After being published in two of my local papers for my articles, I started writing history books. I have two history books published and one poetry book with more I am compiling.

I am a graduate of both the Moberly Area Vo-tech--in Marketing--as well as the Writer's Digest School--in Creative Writing.

In addition, I have held the office for Secretary for my local Springfield Writers' Guild (2003 - 2004), and an active member of the Missouir Writers' Guild.

My most recent published history book is titled, Images of America: NIXA. Based on the history of Nixa, Christian County, Missouri and a few of the surrounding communities. I also have a poetry anthology book that I am soon to print title, "Poetic Vision," compiled by six (6), poets.
