TO THE WORLD, I'M A MAN. TO MYSELF, I'M A WRITER.

Background Information

To coax fiction out of the echoing tales of true crime is the greatest accomplishment a wordsmith can achieve.  This writer's search for the hidden paradoxes of crime were found in his youthful memories.
These recollections came from a place created by the Great Depression, where empty dreams were the night's pillow and the daily bill of fare was hunger for surival.
Lost in this abyss of hard times was a rag-tagged assortment of immigrants left to meander through life while living only a few miles south of Chicgao's fashionable Loop.
Fortunately, dreams can come true, but only after time has its way.  Marriage and the responsiblity of a family halted an aspiration to become a writer.
After a successful entrepreneurial business career in Chicago and Florida, retirement allowed the pursuit of a long desired passion.  His writing interest focused on historical research and success came through souvenir booklets and the creation of city tours for several major cities.  Their fruition gave forth an invitation to write weekly articles for a small newspaper depicting the exploits of Florida's pioneers.
In 2000, he switched genres and began writing a mystery series set in Chicago, casting a female protagonist with a Sherlock Holmes persona.  The series is based upon an accidental finding of information relating the history of a once famous crime investigating unit of the Chicago Police Department dubbed, "Scotland Yard", which existed between 1921 and 1956.
His first manuscript, "THE CHICAGO RIPPER", is presently out of print.  The second, "CHICAGO'S JACK" was published in 2006.  The third,"SHE'S NAKED and DEAD", was self-publishedin 2007.  The fourth, CHICAGO'S MADAM OF DEATH is midway to completion(on hold).  His fifth manuscript "Chicago, it ain't no sissy town" , a true crime expose of the Prohibition Era and its gangsters, is in editing.
