Well, my lifetime goal of writing a book has been realized. What a rush! With that project done, another begins.
Twenty-nine years ago I was a table-top war gamer using cardboard pieces on paper maps. I had a group of guys meeting once a week to play a game called Global War by SPI. We were having a ball. Then I had to move to the States.
Wanting to keep the game going, I rewrote the rules to make it a play-by-mail game, handwritten letters! We had up to 50 players in that one.
Later I rewrote it again twice, as a modern WW3 game and as a limited Med Sea naval game. Both were fun.
I've just completed another re-do of the original WW2 game and launched it as a PBEM, play by email, version. What fun.
I'm certain that there are still gamers out there, and am being proven right. Every day another one joins us. It's free, just for fun.
And it is 'W R I T I N G' :)
