I'm thirty-six year-old mother of six,who attended Wayne State University. Attending Wayne County C.C.. My influences are simply everyday life. Donald Goines, Maya Angelou, Sister Souljah, Nikki Giovanni and Sonia Sanchez. I love also Zora Neale Hurston.Rosa Guy and music also influences me. Joni Mitchell, Ricki Lee Jones, Alanis Morrisette and differently Erykah Badu & Lauryn Hill. The music of blues/Jazz old and new. I've been writing for about four years now and I am ready to share.

I have three poems on poetry.com I was 1st runner-up of a Hubert Massey poetry contest (still haven't collected my prize yet). Four of my poetry chapbooks and one collection of short stories were inducted into a special African American Collection at a local college library system(Wayne State University)

I recently finished a short story titled Flying on One Wing and a poetry book titled A Black Woman Celebrated.I have a serious collection of poetry and shorts that hopefully I can set-up some readings and book signings. I also did a poetry book with Maurice Lewis titled What's Your Paranoia? (they edited some of my words and it just didn't turn out right) much thanks to them anyway
