I am a storyteller no matter what I write. It took me 45 years to say, "I am a writer." Once I made the admission, the writer that had been locked up inside me overflowed onto the page.

Background
Information
|
|
I write novels and nonfiction books as well as articles and essays.I have written a column, Another View, for the past five years. I am also a journalist and an editor.
I teach and lecture on writing on a variety of topics, which include beginning a freelance writing career, writing a novel, developing a book proposal, and using personal life experiences in fiction. I speak to Women's Clubs, book clubs, writers' organizations, and civic organizations.
My writing seminars offer a safe environment for beginning writers to begin to put their thoughts down on paper. I taught high school English for 17 years, so teaching adults about the beauty of language and expression is a natural outgrowth from my previous career.
I can be contacted at pcbwrites@comcast.net.
I thank the founder of my first writer's group who told me to stop making excuses about why I was not writing. He told me that writers write, pure and simple. Now I pass this advice onto other beginning writers whenever I can.
