Patricia began her long career in travel in New York working for two airlines before moving to the travel agency business. She has always been a leisure travel agent, but has done some corporate and even worked for a wholesaler. All, travel related and different from what most people think of as a travel agent. Completely different from Tour Escorts.
She began writing short stories in the early eighties, always a science fiction or fantasy slant to her mysteries. Her first novel is a traditional mystery with a good twist about a manager of a travel agency facing downsizing, lay-offs, and closures when murder is added to her work load. The agency is a very large one, national in fact, and so the layers of management and its trials and tribulations are also a part of the story.
Major influences have been the great mystery writers like Sayers, Christie and Walters.
Favorite reading also includes Ariana Franklin, Colin Cotterill, and Larry Niven.
A true Janite, she reads Jane Austen sequels, not rewrites, and secondary character stories.
