I moved around a lot (three high schools, two junior high schools even two kindergardens; about seven schools in eight years) and though there are negatives there are many positives. One, is you learn to adapt seamlessly and to enjoy the company of strangers and to wonder what's over the next hill. Two, you broaden your horizons; take a stroll up the hill. I've seen different ways in which individuals and societies can function and i've learned not to just accept everything but to question. My writing is about seeing the human condition and how people relate or fail to relate with a sense of wonder from from the questions that have arisen. I have a pysch nursing background though I've worked on school newpapers from high school to several colleges. To my writing I bring the gift of wonder, irony and humor. Every fine writer (and thinker) i've encountered has influenced me and to some extent poor writing (recently I tried to read a Lustbader Bourne novel but his laziness to settle for stale turns of phrases and cliches turned me off. I know now to be aware of times I might settle for the easy and uncreative way out.). I think I'm still being influenced. At least, I hope so. I don't believe one should stop growing as one's body stops growing. One should continue to gain insight into themselves and the human condition as we age. We should understand more at age forty as we did at age thirty; ecetera, ecetera and so forth. Eventually we should move closer to wisdom. I have family that has been here since 1631 and family which arrived fleeing the pograms in the 1890's. there are many serious things in life but it is just life and we have only one shot to get it right; no do-overs. So I say unto you: Life is serious....but you cannot take it seriously.

Now, I'm no expert but it's my understanding adults have sex (no need to whisper). Many - sonavabitch (I'm okay! No lasting scar.) - people swear. So I've incorporated this (or these?) into my sci-fi/fantasy.
