Born in Belfast I grew up fast , ducking bullets and avoiding bombs . My major influences as a writer has been the personal experiences I have been through . Leaving Belfast for Australia opened up new horizons for me as a writer and that still continues today after 30 years living in Australia . Writing about everyday things in life is a passionate lifestyle I am used to .

Currently I am re-writing 5 of my novels, and I am involved with promoting poetry and creative writing here in Australia . Two anthologys of the poems from the primary school children have been published . My own poetry has been included in an anthology recently published by Friends Of ABC Poets Corner . My short stories have been published in Ireland since 1987 in Horizon Magazine .One of my plays The Snow Fairy has been performed in Australia .
