Rebecca Benston is a freelance writer and poet. Born in Springfield, Ohio, Benston is both a graduate of Antioch University McGregor with a dual major in Management and Human Development and a graduate of Capella University with a Master’s degree in Human Services.
Benston is a member of the Sisters In Crime Internet Chapter. Her first mystery novella, In The Wash: The Rona Shively Stories was immediately picked up by PublishAmerica. In 2007, Benston released the second installment in the series, titled Under Lock and Key: The Rona Shively Stories. The books are available now through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and PublishAmerica.
She plans to release the third Rona Shively book, Keeping the Faith: The Rona Shively Stories sometime in 2008. An avid mystery reader, some major influences were Lisa Scottoline, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell.
