Richard Rydon is an accomplished and prolific writer. He is a retired university scientist (PhD) living in Dublin, Ireland. His previous publications include over 100 reviewed scientific papers in international journals, several proceedings book chapters and two full books on the history of chemistry associations in Ireland.
Richard has published numerous articles and poems in local papers and magazines over the years. Under the pen name Philip Fortune, He has also published a retrospective anthology of poetry called "Golden Fuchsia-Laden Girl'.
Richard is currently enjoying his new career as a science fiction writer. His first novel 'The Oortian Summer' was published in July 2007. His second, 'The Omega Wave' was published in July 2008. Richard is currently writing his third science fiction book in the Luper Trilogy called 'The Palomar Incident' which is due for publication early next year.
Birth Place: Dublin, Ireland
Accomplishments: Richard is an honours science graduate with a PhD. More recently he has obtained numerous certificates and diplomas in Psychology, Counselling and Theology. He was awarded a university grant of $4,000 (equiv.) for his book on The Irish Chemical Association 1936-1950.
