rJo was born the oldest of eight children to a woman who was politically active throughout her life. Through her mother's lifestyle, she discovered the satisfaction of helping people through their troubled times. Thoughout her life she loved to write poems and short stories but never had them published.  As she mellowed in years, the desire became stronger to put her words in print.  Thus, after she retired from the United States Air Force in 1999, she pursued her dream of becoming an author and piblished 3 books in three years and has a new one in the works.

Each of rJo's books touch a different aspect of our lives.  She contends life is that way and so is the interest of people.  She continues to express the adventures of life through her writings.  She realizes that we all have a story to tell and she tells every story that touches her heart because she knows it will also touch yours.

March 2003, she released her first book, "Welcome Home",  co-authored by her adopted daughter, Shaquasia Marie.  A story of hope, sacrafice, and transformation of the family, as seen through the eyes of a Black/Hispanic, teenaged girl being raised in a single parent home.

March 2004, she released "Loving One Man", a romance novel about a local politician in a small town. Could this be one of your local politicians?  Could this be happening in your town?  Is this really fiction?  You be the judge.

March 2005, she released "Lime Light", a short novel referencing the to life of her mother, Prenzina Holloway who was influential in the lives of many political figures in the City of Hartford, CT during her over 40 years of political and community involvement.  This is a story that will touch your every emotion.  You'll feel the anger as well as the distrust of those around her with an emotional explosion at the conclusion.  "This is life in the political arena."
