I am a writer/author whose work has been influenced by the likes of Robert B. Parker and Samuel Clemens, Patricia Cornwell and Jimmy Buffett, John MacDonald and Janet Evanovich, and of course my wife and 2 children.  As far as writers go, I am influenced by the thoughtful, thorough, toughminded characters of those authors I mentioned. I love the sense of humor wrung from them and the situations they find themselves in.  I cannot help but be influenced on a daily basis by the loving, grounding support of my family.  They are chief source of inspiration, and the most honest sounding board I could hope to find.  By the way, if you like the cover art on "Lake Effect", thank my wife Trish.  She's the artist and photgrapher in the family.
