Rosanne Catalano was born in Glendale, (Queens) New York to parents who were middle-class. When she was 5 years old however, her parents moved to a rich neighborhood on Long Island called Plainview, New York; where she grew up and where her passion for writing began. Rosanne has a Certificate in Creative Writing & Children's Literature from St. John's University in Jamaica, (Queens) New York; obtained by attending St. John's University at night. She has been passionately writing her stories, poems and articles since she was 7 years old and in the third grade of school at Manetto Hill Elementary School in Plainview, New York. The encouragement she received from her third grade teacher Mrs. Abrams and classmates spured her on to continue writing. After graduating from high school in 1977 however, she worked full time as a secretary for over 20 years but still wrote at night. Five years ago she went full time with her writing upon the publication success of her work in print & online. A year later she founded and started her own Internet-based magazine titled The Cat's Meow for Writers & Readers Ezine.

Welcome to Rosanne Catalano's Website!
Although Rosanne Catalano is publisher & editor of "The Cat's Meow for Writers & Readers Ezine", an Internet-based magazine, she continues to write her own poems, short stories, story articles and articles because writing is her #1 passion. However, publishing and helping others are her #2 passions. Hence, the reason she founded & created her Internet-based magazine, The Cat's Meow for Writers & Readers Ezine. She wanted to get helpful information of all types into the hands of those who may not have it at their fingertips. And she wanted to help showcase, and give exposure to, her fellow writers work by publishing new and established writers in her magazine; enabling them to then go on to greater success with their writing.

Rosanne also has a blog where she writes her thoughts, feelings about current events and any helpful information she deems appropriate for her readers. She considers her blog as an extension of her magazine and her own writing. Although she doesn't write in her blog on a daily basis, she likes knowing she can go to Blogspot.com and write whenever she feels like, or is up to, saying something.
Storytime Tapestry, an Internet-based newsletter
Storytime Tapestry is published by Carol Roach, a published author, publisher and freelance writer.
