A lot of people always ask the question: "Why do you write books?" or "How did you get into writing?" Well I don't write books because I fancy myself a writer, no, I write because I simply enjoy the pleasure of writing. I love to be able to create a fantasy world full of characters, names, faces and places that I myself created and that people can enjoy reading.
To know that people everywhere will read what I have created, something I created from nothing. Books are not just words written in ink on a page, words have meaning, words have value and most important words have power. When you put words together to form a book, those words become something even more, much more.
The power they hold over us has the power to inspire, make us laugh, make us cry. Even change the world with a single thought. No, books are much more then ink on a page. That's why I write, to inspire, to change, to create because without our creativity, then what are we? What is left of us if we as human beings can not create? What kind of world would that be? It would be a boring world, filled with billions of boring people.
Now that I have told you why I write, let me tell you more about who I am. I was born in a small town in Northern California called Hanford. As a child my family moved around a lot. We lived in Baldwin Park, California for many years on and off. I began writing when I was about 14 years old. My late father had gotten me a note book and gave it to me. He also loved to write, he would write poems all the time. So I guess since I had the note book, I figured why not write in it? Why not give it a try? Well 12 years later I'm still writing and still enjoying it.
