"As a child I was influenced by my Mother and Uncle. Who insisted we spend as much time as possible learning poetry. At present ~ I owe much to the gentle man in my life. An artist in his own right. His encouragement has led me to explore new dimensions of my abilities. Taking his hand has begun the journey of a lifetime."

Married for twenty years, I have been blessed with two beautiful children. As an added bonus there are also five wonderful grandchildren to teach the love of the written and spoken word.

Disabled by rheumatoid arthritis in 1995, I was granted the time and freedom to work on my poetry.(between Doctor visits of course :) The journey within has produced some wonderful "Soul Songs", it is my privilege to share.

Lest I forget the handsome gentlemen in my photo is "Mr. Mugsy", my faithful companion in all things.

I believe God allows the closing of a door unless he opens a window. I owe him much for the view mine provides.

Currently I have poetry published in two Anthologies. Two of my poems have been entered in a primary collection of recorded works. I have been fortunate to work with one of the Internets major greeting card companies.

I have received five consecutive awards as poet of the month from MSN's Poetry groups.

My most recent accomplishment is acceptance by Publish America of my manuscript, "Soul Songs." Currently in pre-publication. STRONG>

Subtle Expressions ~ is  currently in pre-publication. I hope to have a release date to share with you soon.

I have been recently nominated as "Poet of the Year", by ISP. For which I am humbly grateful.

I am proud to announce that I have just received the "Editor's Choice Award", for my poem "The Window", and nomination for International Poet of the Year.

Additionally, three Christian websites are now using my inspirational poetry.
