She received a Bachelors of Science in Applied Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Southwest Texas State University in 1998.  In 2004, she found a unique opportunity to accomplish several goals in her life while experiencing foreign travel.  For a year and half she resided in Beijing, China, taught English to students of all ages and wrote on a full-time basis.
Now, four years later, she is back in California, striving to promote Las Niñas, A Collection of Childhood Memories while developing new works, perfecting her yoga techniques, cycling for transportation and simply enjoying freedom.
