I'm sometimes stubborn and hard headed, but blame my mother;I'm a lot like her.

Background
Information
|
|
Like a minister who was called to the ministry, I was called to write. In 1992 I had a head aneuryms. Before I healed I began to write. My parents, native Mississippians and African Americans, talked with the family about their life in that state. Although "Backside of the Country" is fiction, it was motivated by the stories I have heard since I was a child.

"Backside of the Country" is sometimes heartwarming and sometimes harsh. It takes place in Mississippi and North Carolina during the years of 1930-1965. The story contains some history of the period.
