I look up to Jerry Spinelli, Orson Scott Card, Laurie Halse Anderson, William Sleator, Sharon Creech, and Stephanie Meyer.  I've been blessed with many great teachers who've guided me and unique students I can work with every day.  As long as I keep my eyes open when I'm in the classroom, I'll never be short on material.
