Welcome to a doorway into my head. This is a small sample of the world according to Shane Ward.
The age of the computer has been a blessing for people like me. It gave me the platform on which to write books, music and poetry. The Internet allows me to share it with you.
When I joined Authors Den in 2003 (That’s six years ago at the time of writing this introduction) I wanted to see if I could generate enough exposure through word of mouth to become famous. My conclusion is that I would need to do much more than has been possible here.
My article ‘How Do I Become Famous?’ has been read by over 20,000 people. It’s closest competitor (over 14,000) is my poem ‘No Smoking’. With the completion of almost 6 years on Authors Den my hit count averaged 166 a day. Around 2% of readers viewed my books. A lot of people liked my music, which, incidentally, you can now buy from lulu.com (see my home site http://www.shaneward.co.uk )
So my experiment has come to an end, with many lessons learned on my part. I am most grateful to those of you who have supported my work. I shall continue to be active both here on Authors Den and also on my home site http://www.shaneward.co.uk
Once again, thanks to all of you for your continued support.
Best wishes
Birth Place: London, United Kingdom
Accomplishments: Read my autobiography for free, "Walking the Path". If one were to submit my story to a soap opera, they would say it was too far fetched to be realistic. Fact is indeed stranger than fiction (and sometimes more entertaining). One can only write about life if they have truly lived it. It also helps to develop a good sense of humour!

| | Walking the Path by Shane Ward Walking the Path is an honest account of a life attempting to make sense of the world and his role in it. Whilst the title may appear dull it must be emphasised that this is no ordinary story. The author does not become famous by the end of this volume (he cannot write the second volume because he is still living it). Never the less there are accounts of life from the mundane to the magnificent. A...
