My book encourages a young reader to use his/her imagination and become a character in the story. I write for readers who want to feel, taste, smell, see and participate in the story.
I love children's stories, and my influences are my own children. Kids have vivid imaginations; they love to play pretend. My book encourages them to “play pretend" as a character in the story. After all, playing pretend builds problem-solving skills. It’s a great book for preschools too because children get to enact the words in the story: hop, slide, swim etc.
I was born in beautiful Haiti in 1977. My family and I relocated to New York from Haiti in 1990. I attended Elmont Memorial High School, then Queens College - City University of New York, where I studied Psychology. I now live in sunny Florida with my husband and our two children.
