The universe is teeming with many strange and unexplained phenomena. Steve Doyle is one of them.

Background Information

Steve Doyle is an award-winning writer whose poetry has appeared in the anthology In the Desert Sun published by the National Library of Poetry.

His short story "The Waking of the Dead" is included in the anthology Light at the Edge of Darkness, a collection of 27 stories of Biblical Speculative Fiction by 17 authors of the Lost Genre Guild, published by The Writers' Cafe Press.

Early on, Steve was influenced by the masterful deduction of Arthur Conan Doyle's great detective Sherlock Holmes, the excitement of Edgar Allan Poe's horror, and the plot twists inherent in the tales presented by Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling.

With his short stories, Steve strives to blend supernatural elements into modern settings, thereby bringing the unbelievable into the realm of the believable.

Steve maintains a bookshelf of his work at the Wyvern's Library section of Elfwood, the largest science fiction and fantasy art site in the world. He is an active member of "The Herscher Project," an online group of artists and writers from all over the globe.

Accomplishments

Third Prize Winner of National Library of Poetry contest for "The Storm" published in the anthology In the Desert Sun.

Third Prize Winner in mixed media category of a juried art show for "Footprints in My Garden" featuring photography by Maria Touchette.

Additional Information

Steve is currently working on a novel as well as "The Casebook of the Paranormal Research Institute", a collection of short stories described by one author as "Sherlock Holmes meets Anne Rice." It is due to be published by CWG Press.
