Writers must always keep their eyes on their readers lest they stumble over their own egos.

Reading has always been my escape. When I was a kid, my favorite books were the Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators series. My first great writer's success was in the eighth grade when I wrote a play about the wolfman, and my English class read it aloud. One of my favorite authors these days is Terry Pratchett. Although I have had quite a few writing successes, I still haven't quit my day job. Maybe one of these days. In the meantime, I make my living teaching school. That's why I am so interested in writing for juveniles and young adults.

Additional Information

I have had several plays published by Brooklyn Publishers. Check them out at www.brookpub.com.
2007 was a great year for me because I had two middle grade novels come out. I'm hoping 2008 will be just as good. I have a sci/fi retelling of a King Arthur story coming out -- only it's not about Arthur. It's about Lancelot. My big goal is to sell a screenplay one day.

Lots of books here. Two of mine, Walt Michaels is a Wienie and Rosetta Stone Diaries have been published by this group. Both books are middle grade/YA level and are very funny and family friendly.
