Susan Wingate is a novelist, poet, essayist and playwright. For hobbies she paints, is learning to play the violin and she reads. Susan lives with her husband, Bob, and writes full time. Over the past two years, she’s judged writing competitions for various membership organizations. Susan teaches writing at the community college level, at workshops around the country and online.

CURRICULUM VITAE & BIO

 

n          December 2007, Susan teamed-up with a booking agent for speaking & teaching engagements about writing,

n          Of THE LAW (Sixteen Cat Tails Publishing), Susan’s mystery novel was released in 2007, her book tour throughout the western U.S. began in May and continued until September,

n          Poem, THE FISHERMAN, THE EAGLE, AND JESUS, won second place in the 2006 Foster City International Writing Contest,

n          Susan’s many publishing efforts can be found in anthologies, magazines, and newspapers such as The Writer’s Journal (upcoming), Caged Birds & Aviaries, Parrot Magazine, and BirdKeeper Magazine, as well as, SlingInk’s Footprints, FirstWriter’s online magazine, and The American Drivel Review (upcoming).

n          Susan travels extensively and has offered writing workshops and readings at the following organizations:

Susan Wingate is a novelist, poet, essayist and playwright. For hobbies she paints, is learning to play the violin and she reads. Susan lives with her husband, Bob, and writes full time. Over the past two years, she’s judged writing competitions for various membership organizations. Most recently, she’s been found directing plays at a local theatre. Susan teaches writing classes at the community college level, at workshops around the country and online. Susan individually mentors young writers and finds doing so a most satisfying pursuit.
