If you want to grow spiritually through discussion, dialogue, book swapping, meditation or yoga then this is the group for you! If you want to help others through charitable work, serve as a role model to school children, mentor or help the less-fortunate then this is the group for you! If you want to meet other artists, musicians, production people, intern and work on upcoming projects and scores then this is the group for you! If you simply want to gather socially, make new friends, share ideas, celebrate birthdays & holidays and attend fun events then this is the group for you!
1 S.O.U.L. is a growing organization already with a charter, aims & ideals and an organization mission & vision. We are looking for inspired individuals to assist in our growth and expansion. We already have an Internet based social network as a meeting place for people from around the world. We have an ongoing Blog where members can chime in their thoughts. We are also in the works of establishing a retail space that will provide a cafe, coffee shop, smoothies, customized t-shirts, bookstore, candles, incense, meeting place for book signings, presentations, open mic poetry sessions along with products and services for the community and surrounding neighborhoods.
We need your continued involvement and ideas to expand. Please join us and see what we're about. This is NOT a religious organization, fraternity or sorority, activist group, political group or otherwise. It is simply a loose movement or coalition of people who believe LOVE should be first and foremost in their personal lives, families, friends, business dealings and interactions with others.
This group is less about "changing the world" and more about providing the means and assistance for those seeking to "change themselves" so they may then become a shining example for others to follow. We uphold that all beliefs, differences and distinctions merely tend to separate us while LOVE is the only force that unites! Part of the group's mission will be to perhaps provide a knowledge base and wealth of information for members to benefit from and access. Business owners will have opportunities to network, advertise, promote, provide discounts and receive discounts. Our goal is to build a community that "practices what it preaches" and can show the world a better way to live when we act unselfishly and place humanity above greed, personal motive and agendas.
Regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, culture, age or lifestyle, you are welcome to join! All we ask is that you conduct yourself in a peaceful and loving way while judgment, discrimination and biases will not be tolerated. Simply be humble, willing to listen when necessary and supportive of others who may not be as "accomplished" as you. We are all at different stages in our lives and sometimes even the most educated person can learn something from the most ignorant. Life is not a race or competition and sometimes the best way to "get ahead" is to help another accomplish the same. When all is said and done we will be remembered less for what we accomplished in life and more for "who we were" in life. Those who loved the most... are generally the ones who are loved the most in return and with fond memory!
Science has shown that despite our different physical appearances, mankind’s genetic variation is less than .5% and we are, physiologically speaking, 99.5% alike! Socially we all seek the same things such as happiness, family, friends, material comfort, health and creative expression. Spiritually speaking, we are all made of the same Essence. So 1 S.O.U.L. is dedicated to a movement in spirituality, an upliftment of consciousness, and an experiment in Love. “Love for who?” you may ask. Well, the love for all of humanity of course!
