A member of the Maryland Writer's Association and Sisters In Crime, she's been published in the Who's Who in America 56th addition. TJ placed 3rd, 4th, 7th and 10th in the CNW/FFWA chapter book competition. Her mystery/suspense books for kids are, "Wound Too Tight" "Mystery of the Attic" & "On Forbidden Ground". The release of The Kim & Kelly Mystery Series, promises to set a new stage for young teens everywhere. Articles on TJ Perkins have appeared in the Carroll County Times, Chartley Chatter, Maryland Family Magazine and The Community Times. She has appeared for interview spotlights on 'Focus On Carroll' and WTTR Radio, Westminster, MD. several times. Her appearance at many Maryland elementary & middle schools has sparked excitement as all of her books speed through the popularity charts and are being carried by bookstores all over the USA. Her biggest seller "Mystery of the Attic" has been made into a play; brought to life by the Cafe Theater Company in Brick, NJ. The same book & sequel On Forbidden Ground are being made into an interactive amusement ride.

TJ's mystery series for ages 10+ is available through GumShoe Press. The Kim & Kelly Mystery Series is a new and exciting storytelling style much in the remnants of Agatha Christie meets Nancy Drew, but put into first person and spiced up with a new flavor of suspense that only TJ can create. With 2 main characters, the person telling the story changes from book to book; you never know who's going to be doing the talking until you start reading - Kim or Kelly. Book 4 "Image in the Tapestry" won an award in 2005 and "Fantasies Are Murder" will become a play in 2009.

Shadow Legacy is TJ's latest work for adults (ages 16+). It placed in the 2009 CNW/FFWA writing competition. She has signed a contract with Silver Leaf Books to release the 5 book series. Projected release date for Book 1 is Feb 2011 with consecutive books to follow each year thereafter.

Silver Leaf Books
TJ's latest work has been accepted by Silver Leaf Books. Small but growing, SLB has signed TJ for a 5 book series entitled Shadow Legacy. The series follows a group of modern day teen assassins trained in the ways of the ninja. More information, sample pages, and sneak peaks coming in 2010.

Constellation Books
The best little book store in Historic Reisterstown. Constellation Books is a great place to have writer's group meetings, etc. and they carry a great variety of books. Get coffee at Java Mamas across the street then snuggle up with a good book!
